Claude is, by far, my top go-to legal LLM companion

I ran another real-world legal contract creation test: 5 LLMs, multiple source reference documents, and one objective: 

👉 create a complete business contract.

As an AI professional, I intentionally explore use cases outside my own areas of expertise. This is the best way to evaluate the true value proposition of these tools and understand where they can genuinely transform the way businesses operate.

This time, I provided four reference documents covering:

📌 Contracting parties information

I then asked five different LLMs to perform a genuinely practical task: synthesize all of this information into a single, structured business contract delivered as an actual Microsoft Word document.

Here's what happened 👇

❌ Grok: Extremely simplistic. Didn't even attempt to create the document.

❌ DeepSeek: Handed over a two-page outline of titles. No Microsoft Word file.

❌ OpenAI ChatGPT: Generated 2 pages of simple, flat lines. Failed to create the Microsoft Word file.

⚠️ Microsoft Copilot: Basic content generation, but surprisingly, it could not create the Word document. 🤔 The Microsoft AI assistant could not deliver a native Microsoft Word file.

✅ Google Gemini: Kept it simple, while successfully generated and delivered the actual Word document.

🏆 Anthropic Claude: The undisputed champion! It produced a highly professional, incredibly well-structured draft. It delivered an impressive Microsoft Word layout complete with proper headings, clear sections, and beautifully formatted tables.

💡 Bottom line: when it comes to real legal/business document drafting, not just chat answers, but usable, structured deliverables, Anthropic Claude is my go-to legal companion LLM.
