COVID and War?

Lately, Russia, under the "leadership" of Vladimir Putin, is planning to invade Ukraine. This "travesty", especially in the midst of the so-called "COVID pandemic", unveils a strictly business approach to war:
1. The price of war is huge.
Just calculate the cost for the maintenance and deployment of +150K soldiers.
2. The profits are low.
Even if Russia invaded Silicon Valley, that would gain little. The real wealth resides in the minds of Google, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook engineers and not in "real estate".
3. Peace is more lucrative than ever.
Top of the wealthiest people and the most valued businesses of the last decades build their fortune on democratizing innovation and not on conquering physical assets!
Bottom line: If the political leaders still care about their fellow people and not their bank accounts and fame, better to create conditions embracing Sergei and Lary, to create the Googles of the future.
P.S. A few weeks ago I made a small poll among 25 classmates of my 15 years old daughter:
+ 100% know and use Google!
+ 0.5% barely have heard the name, Vladimir Putin.
