True Reality, or an Carefully "Elaborated" Bent One?

While I’m "offline" in Norway, I’d like to share my three latest podcasts from the Greek YouTube sphere.

The selected image depicts The Twist (Svingen), a striking bridge, located at the Kistefos Museum and Sculpture Park in Jevnaker, Norway.

Designed by the Danish architectural firm BIG, Bjarke Ingels Group, the building twists 180 degrees in the middle to span the Randselva river. 

As a construction, it is an illusion of curves. Contrary to what the eye perceives, The Twist consists only of straight lines. The long aluminum and wood panels are twisted as in a deck of cards to form a fan shape. The illusion is that you see curves everywhere, but in reality everything is straight.

It serves simultaneously as an infrastructure bridge connecting the sculpture park's two sides, an interior contemporary art exhibition space, and a monumental sculpture in its own right.
